Three Florida teens died in an auto accident early Sunday morning when the red Volkswagen they were riding in hit guardrail and turned over into a canal. The 16-year-old driver and two of his passengers, also 16, were removed from the vehicle by police and transported to Coral Springs Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead.
A third passenger, age 15, managed to escape the Volkswagen and survive.
According to Coral Springs police, the motor vehicle accident occurred just after midnight, when another vehicle driven by a 59-year-old Miami man T-boned the Volkswagen carrying the teens. The impact of the auto collision sent the Volkswagen careening off the road and into the canal. So far no charges have been filed in this fatal car accident.
